6 Summer Fragrances with Fragrance Direct* (ad)

Yes, the season of alfresco dining, rooftop sun drenching and the spiciest time in our love lives has arrived! This is the season we usually step up our fitness regimes and put some attention back into our dating lives, so what better way to kick off the heatwave season in style, than with a brand new summer edition fragrance.

Gentleman, we bring you our top six fragrances for Summer 2019! in collaboration with Fragrance Direct – The number one fragrance retailer for luxury fragrances, which won’t break the bank:

Dolce and Gabbana Light Blue Sun Pour Homme EDT 50m

RRP: £44.99

Perfect For: The beach

Scent Notes: Italian bergamot, frozen grapefruit and coconut water

Scent Test: When we first sprayed the fragrance, it was reminiscent of the scent that comes through when cutting open fresh citrus fruits in the kitchen, then the bergamot comes through and it settles on a masculine smell, perfect to be spritzed on a crisp white linen shirt throughout the summer months.

Molton Brown Bushukan Eau de Toilette 50ml

RRP: £29.99

Perfect For: Alfresco dining with family & friends

Scent Notes: Lemon, bergamot and basil, cedar-wood and vetiver

Scent Test: Our first impressions were that this scent took us on a Morrocan adventure through the desert, spicey and sophisticated – the bergamot and basil come through the most and the scent is strong enough to only require a few spritzes to last the long summer days.

Calvin Klein Eternity Flame For Men Eau de Toilette Spray 50ml

RRP: £36.99

Perfect For: Date number two

Scent Notes: Pineapple, rosemary and labdanum resin

Scent Test: Eternity Flame was a mixed aroma of peppery and citrus, one for the clean-cut gentleman, looking to add a bit of excitement to his current aftershave collection, which will certainly get those in close capacity hot under the collar.

GIVENCHY Gentleman Cologne Eau de Toilette Spray 50ml

RRP: £42.50

Perfect For: Summer wedding

Scent Notes: Bergamot, lemon, rosemary and musk

Scent Test: This scent had summer romance written all over it. Elegant, floral and herby, more English garden than St Tropez. All in all, Gentleman is a great all-rounder for summer 2019.

Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Men Eau de Toilette Spray 50ml

RRP: £42.99

Perfect For: The office

Scent Notes: Grapefruit, Ginger, Sage and Sandlewood

Scent Test: We got coconut vibes from 212 VIP, one of those fragrances people are likely to ask you ‘what fragrance are you wearing’. It’s a very modern scent which wouldn’t feel out of place in the office or a private New York rooftop pool party.

Davidoff Run Wild Him Eau de Toilette Spray 50ml

RRP: £34.99

Perfect For: Post-gym/festivals

Scent Notes: Lavinder bush, fir balsam, cinnamon bark and tonka bean

Scent Test: As fresh as a waterfall in Croatia, this fragrance is perfect for outdoors, from festivals through to the Bali rainforest, it’s light and lives up to its Run Wild name.
