When it comes to Christmas shopping, I always enjoy a tailored experience all under one roof. As much as I enjoy the hustle and bustle of Oxford Street, it can be timely and hit and miss, so a curated selection of shops in one destination gets my vote every year.
My mum is one of the hardest people to buy for, as she is eccentric and flamboyant, but also quite fussy! Therefore, when it comes to Christmas shopping for her I must have the confidence in the products I’m purchasing to ensure she will enjoy opening them on Christmas day.
This year, armed with a £100 St Pancras International gift card, I headed to St Pancras International for a premium shopping experience like no other. St Pancras International station is a destination in its own right and a convenient shopping location for Londoners, commuters, and tourists alike. With style boutiques such as Jo Malone, White Company, Fortnum & Mason and Chanel to pick from, I knew I would leave with a selection of gifts perfect for the most important woman in my life.
I spent a few hours taking in the vast range of beautiful shops and displays on offer (I probably smelt over 50 candles!) I made purchases from John Lewis, Accessorize and Jo Malone. This included:
- A Star headband and knitted scarf from Accessorize (£36)
- Jo Malone Festive Pink Eucalyptus candle (£44)
- Rose Quartz jewellery Stacker from John Lewis (£20)
I found the shopping experience tailored and that the products in the small boutiques offered the best items from the brands for a curated shopping experience with professional customer service.
In between shops I checked out the now infamous St Pancras International 43ft luxury Christmas tree, which this year has been sponsored by Tiffany & Co and Coty, and features 600 perfume bottle replicas of Tiffany & Co.’s Signature Eau de Parfum fragrance, 600 handcrafted paper Iris flowers with Tiffany Blue® detail and 600 elegantly designed white, silver and Tiffany Blue® baubles.
I also stopped off at the stunning and Europe’s longest champagne bar, Searcys Champagne Bar to experience the limited edition festive cocktail, in collaboration with Tiffany & Co. The cocktail, inspired by the Tiffany & Co. Eau De Parfum is sophisticated yet vibrant with an added twist of Mandarin Liqueur and topped with Veuve Clicquot and costs £18.50.
Another iconic and after a festive makeover thanks to the John Lewis Christmas advert, are the St Pancras International pianos, played previously by the likes of Elton John and no word of a lie, someone was playing ‘Your Song’ when it walked past!
