Trend Story: Autumn/Winter Bags

As we enter into the Autumn and Winter months, it’s time to start thinking about quality investment pieces to see us through these seasons. The reason in which quality is so vital within these seasons is quite simply that the cold can get through cheaper fabrics. Therefore, it’s always better to pay the price and own one or two key coats or jackets, than a few cheaper options which aren’t going to keep out the cold.

And like Adam was to Eve or Romeo was to Juliet, the perfect coat has to match the perfect bag. Therefore, I’ve selected three different type of bags in the colour hues I feel most compliment men’s winter tones of black, navy, greys and camel in AW16.

The Laptop Bag – The LoDo Satchel by Case Logic

This sturdy satchel offers a contemporary design and enough room to hold a 15″ MacBook Pro® or 14″ laptop, within its thickly padded compartment.

The bag also features leather-wrapped handles and zipper pulls, as well as two exterior water bottle pockets, so could work just as well for a gym of Weekend bag.

The Satchel – M.R.K.T Kel Satchel

M.R.K.T has just launched in the UK and was established by Harvard-trained architect, Tom Pen who set out to create a bag label where the design is inspired by modern architectural concepts of clean and pure form. You can see this in the bags structure – it has removable components for all the gadgets (from iPads to laptops, you name it), and still remains cool and fashionably simplistic.

The Rucksack  – Kånken No. 2 Black Edition

Just launched, the Kånken No. 2 Black is an all black edition of Kånken’s iconic bags. The bag is crafted from durable wax (65% polyester, 35% cotton) and can either be held by its leather handles or by the textile strap slung over the shoulder. The bag offers internal and external pockets and can fit a 15″ laptop.
