In one of London’s most vibrant theatre areas as St Martins Lane, you could easily be sidelined by the bright lights of the West End to spot Mr Foggs Gin Parlour. However, look a little closer and you’ll find Mr Fogg’s Gin Parlour nestled between St Martins Lane and New Lane.
On arrival, you’re transported into the world of The eccentric British adventurer, Phileas Fogg where Victorian furnishings meet 1800’s theatre. Expect to find old scripts, wigs, ornate glass chandeliers and of course, cabinets filled to the brim with of over 300 gins collected from around the world. And the eccentricity doesn’t stop there, as you’ll find the waiting staff adorned from head to toe in theatrical costume.
For me, what I was most impressed with was the passion and attention to detail put in by the mixologists. The ‘Encyclopedia Gintonica’ (drinks menu) offers an extensive list of cocktails – from classic to experimental, all hand-crafted from recognisable gin brands to exclusive gin liqueurs. Glance over to the bar and you’ll notice a vast array of freshly prepared botanical ingredients and garnishes to compliment Mr Foggs perfectly curated cocktails.
So if you’re after a sophisticated spot for a few midweek tipples, look not further than Mr Fogg’s Gin Parlour.
